Judge Dismisses Sexual Assault Charge Against Marilyn Manson

CONTENT WARNING: The following article contains discussions and descriptions of sexual assault and abuse.

A sexual assault lawsuit lodged against Marilyn Manson back in May has now been dismissed, it has been reported.

According to reports by TMZ, then confirmed by Pitchfork, the case has been dismissed; the judge ruling the statute of limitations had passed on the woman’s claims.

The plaintiff, who is going by the alias Jane Doe, alleges that she and Manson had dated in 2011 and during this time, he raped her. According to the court reports, Jane Doe had ‘repressed her memories’ of the incident.

The court has given Jane Doe a period of 20 days to refile her suit or address the judge’s ruling.

Manson currently faces three other lawsuits from separate women who have alleged multiple counts of sexual assault, battery and harassment.

He was in the headlines recently for appearing at Kanye West’s third Donda event, which took place in Chicago.
