LA electro-rock conspirators Jump Jump Dance Dance are getting ready to unleash their dynamic debut single ‘Show Me The Night’ in Australia on February 19, to be followed up by the release of their debut album later in the year.
The two-man outfit, comprising of DJ/Vocalist extraordinaire Chris Carter and Uber DJ/Producer Simon Lewicki (of Top 40 act Groove Terminator), have hooked Australian label etcetc and are now set to release their debut single and album, which will be distributed through Universal Music Australia.
The band worked with US heavyweight mixers Dave Sardy (Wolfmother, Oasis, Soulwax, The Ting Tings) and Mark Needham (The Killers, Bloc Party, 3OH!3) along with Australian dance industry veteran Sameer Sengupta (Poxy Music, Pocket 808) to produce a record that is both equal parts electro-dance and the future of indie rock.
The Jump Jump Dance Dance duo first united over a shared love of synthesizers, Australian culture and sweaty dance floors, before merging their talents to explore and tweak the happy medium between dance and rock music.
The band will spread the electro-rock gospel via a killer live show at the Future Music Festival this Feb – March that will showcase their own unique energy and style through instantaneous guitar riffs colliding with towering synths and club beats. Their steady stream of floor-ready remixes for La Roux and etcetc label-mates MSTRKRFT leave no question as to why Jump Jump Dance Dance are making waves in the international music scene. Expect to get converted.
