Justin Bieber & Kanye West Might Be The Root Of Your Lack Of Roots, Study Finds

They say that music makes the heart grow fonder, and everyone knows they key to getting the mood just right in the bedroom is largely down to getting that track choice just right.

So if you’re finding that your song selection in the sack is holding you back from fulfilling your potential as a stud, it might be time to try spinning more Marvin Gaye and less Justin Bieber.

Seriously though, a new study has found that the two arists that turned people off the most were the Biebs and Kanye West.

PopSugar reports that music streaming service Deezer has partnered with sex and relationship expert Tracey Cox to study how music affects intimacy. They found that music was the most important aphrodesiac (if chosen well), with 30% of respondents in the study agreeing it was the most important factor, ahead of spirits, wine, and chocolate.

“Music is a powerful, potent aphrodisiac so I’m not surprised so many find it improves their sexual experiences,” Cox said in a statement. “Listening to music causes our brain to flood with dopamine, the pleasure hormone. The same thing happens when we’re getting intimate, so it effectively puts our bodies ‘in the mood.'”

30% of people said that music makes them feel more aroused, while 25% said it makes sex better overall. The study also found that R&B was the most popular genre of music to have sex to, while heavy metal and rap were the least preferred.

So what should you be listening to? Well the study found that not only was Marvin Gaye’s sultry vocals considered the sexiest voice to listen to, but Let’s Get It On was the number 1 song to get your lover in the mood. Lionel Ritchie, John Legend, Michael Buble and R. Kelly also made the top 10 sexiest voices.
