All of that reformed ‘N Sync action at the Video Music Awards must have made Justin Timberlake itchy to get back to his bad boy side, with the Suit And Tie performer announcing that he really wants to play the Riddler from the Batman franchise.
JT told New York radio station Fresh 102.7 that although he hasn’t been in a superhero film as of yet, he’d love to get his villain on:
“Now, a villain! I’ll tell you the villain I want to play more than anything – because I grew up loving ‘Batman’ – funnily enough, is the Riddler. The Riddler is my favorite villain. The Riddler was like a sociopath. He was proper crazy. So if I’m gonna play crazy, I wanna play proper crazy.”
The 32-year-old also stated that he approved of Ben Affleck‘s recently announced role as Batman in the upcoming Man of Steel sequel, saying, “I think he’s an extreme talent, so he could surprise a lot of people.” The two star alongside each other in the crime drama thriller Runner, Runner, which is set for release in the States this October.
Timberlake cleaned up big at the VMAs last weekend – as well as his ‘N Sync reunion performance, he pulled out a medley of his greatest hits and took out pretty much every award he was nominated for, including Video of the Year.
