Harvest Festival 2013 Lineup Announcement

The line up for the 2013 Harvest Festival has arrived, with Massive Attack, Franz Ferdinand, Primus and Goldfrapp topping the bill alongside already confirmed bands Eels and Neutral Milk Hotel.

No prizes awarded for those who picked Neutral Milk Hotel or The Eels after both bands self-confirmed their appearance at Harvest Festival, with NMH breaking a 15-year hiatus and announcing their reformation. They’re are joined at the top of the bill by Franz Ferdinand who last appeared Down Under back in 2010 for Future Music Festival.

The festival has always aimed to bring a European style indie experience to punters and last years’ candlelit set by Sigur Rós’ certainly set a strong precedent. this first announcement for 2013 lives up to all the expectation with a diverse and refreshing list of acts that fit perfectly into the event’s park-side vibe.

You can thank your lucky stars we have the lineup today after it came to light on Wednesday that there were last-minute clashes between the festival’s organisers and the NSW Government after both institutions began to jostle for the use of the same venue.

Harvest Festival 2013 will be taking placed mid November this year with dates confirmed in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Tickets go on sale Friday 12th July on the Harvest website. The full list of dates is available below along with the first lineup announcement.
