Iconic country singer-songwriter k.d. lang will return to Australia in November with her new band Six Boom Bang, playing shows at Sydney State Theatre, the Adelaide Entertainment Centre and the Canberra AIS Arena. This tour also sees k.d. play a series of very special outdoor shows, in Melbourne at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Brisbane’s Riverstage, and in WA at the Swan Valley Sandalford Estate.
Prior to the concert tour, k.d. will be in Australia in early April to promote her brand new studio album Sing it Loud, her first studio album since 2008’s Watershed,
In February this year, lang’s Hallelujah Vancouver Winter 2010 was nominated for a Juno Award for Single of the Year. The track is her interpretation of the Leonard Cohen classic and was recorded live at the opening ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Olympics.
Tickets to k.d. lang’s Australian tour go on sale on Monday 18 April.
