Jay-Z and Kanye West are planning to make a follow-up to their collaboration album Watch the Throne, according to one of their collaborators.
NME has reported that Mike Dean, who helped co-produce Watch the Throne last year, has confirmed there will be a Watch the Throne 2 in the future.
Dean is currently working on Cruel Summer – the debut compilation for West’s G.O.O.D. Music label. He also added production to West’s albums Graduation and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
He told Quiet Lunch: “I’m working on the G.O.O.D. Music album, of course, and ‘Watch the Throne 2’ – it’s not started yet, but it’s coming”.
His comments add fuel to the fire started by Jay-Z last year, who hinted that Watch the Throne 2 may surface at some point.
Kanye West and Jay-Z are currently performing their Watch the Throne tour at arenas around the UK. Man, we can only wish they would bring it down to our shores.
