Kanye West has delivered a strange rant during a performance at the Big Chill festival in the UK over the weekend, where the rapper compared himself to Hitler, among other strange digressions.
According to Complex, West embarked on a piano-backed speech that began with him apologising for being late on-stage at the Herefordshire event and for his vocal struggles. However, he soon began to implore that he was wrongly perceived by the industry and the media, and made particular reference to the video for his song Monster, which saw accusations of misogyny thrown his way.
His response was, “I walk through the hotel and I walk down the street, and people look at me like I’m fucking insane… Like I’m Hitler.”
So it’s not just Morrissey capable of gross insensitivity. The fuss about Monster was to do with apparently ‘dead’ models hanging by their necks. Make your own mind up below.
