Kanye West Delays New Album ‘Yandhi’ With Revised Release Date

Kanye West has delayed his new album Yandhi, with his wife Kim Kardashian-West today announcing a new release date for the much-hyped Yeezus sequel.

The record — the follow-up to this year’s ye and the spiritual successor to 2013’s Yeezus — was first teased last month, and was expected to be released on Sunday, 30th September Australian time.

However, Yandhi never arrived, and Kim Kardashian-West has since told her Twitter followers the album will now arrive on Friday, 23rd November.

“TRUST ME it is worth the wait,” she wrote.

During an appearance on TMZ on Monday, Kanye said he hadn’t finished Yandhi, and will be going to “what is known as Africa” in two weeks to complete recording.

“I felt this energy when I was in Chicago, I felt the roots. We have to go to what is known as Africa,” he said.

“A person from my management staff, from our management staff, had suggested because the album is so good. It’s my… You know, I started incorporating sounds that you’ve never heard before and pushing.

“And having concepts that people don’t talk about. We have concepts talking about body-shaming and women being looked down upon for how many people that they slept with. And, you know, it’s just a full Ye album.”

Yandhi‘s new release date arrives after Kanye appeared on Saturday Night Live over the weekend, making headlines for a pro-Trump rant he engaged in during filming, which wasn’t broadcast on TV but quickly made its way onto the internet.
