Kanye West Hits With A Lawsuit For Worst Treatment And Non-Payment To Employees

Kanye West and his Yeezy company are facing a new lawsuit over allegations of maintaining a hostile work environment and failing to pay for work.

According to the dispatch by the Washington Post, in a lawsuit filed by eight employees—one of whom was a minor—allegedly, they have been mistreated while working on a streaming app earlier in the year.

The plaintiffs claim that West referred to them as “slaves” and “new slaves” and that he also belittled them. They further detail pornographic images as part of that work environment. The suit demands compensation for unpaid wages, legal fees, and damages for emotional distress.

The team that was to build the application for a streaming service to promote “Vultures 2,” the second album by West’s hip-hop supergroup ¥$, featuring West and Ty Dolla Sign, consisted of employees from all corners of the globe, including some minors as young as 14. Yeezy had purchased an app called YZYVSN for that project.

Communications for this project were done on Discord, and team members said there was bullying about age, race, gender/pregnancy, sexual orientation, and ethnicity. Logically, the streaming app is complete, but they did not get their money as agreed upon.

The plaintiffs are filing a lawsuit over their treatment and nonpayment, publicizing how they were treated while working for West’s company.
