Kanye West now has another title to add to his long list of decorations – he’s being investigated as a felony suspect. A paparazzo known as Dano is looking to press charges against the rapper and recent-father for attempted robbery and injuries he sustained during an altercation outside of LAX.
Dano is the same pap involved in the infamous Britney Spears-umbrella incident, which netted him $30,000 after selling both the umbrella and the car on eBay. Walking out of the LAX terminal, the savvy West recognised the pap and then warned him: “You’re trying to get me in trouble…so I’ll have to pay you, like, $250,000.”
When the pap continued to goad West, an attack was launched. Dano fell almost immediately to the ground as West attempted to seize the camera from him while onlookers reacted in horror. One main exclaimed “You hit that guy!” as an angry airport security guard arrived on the scene.
TMZ is reporting that the case has been transferred over to the LAPD Robbery Homicide Unit. Their sources claim that the “victim” was taken to hospital after the attack and that police have determined that he did indeed sustain injuries during the incident.
The 36-year-old rapper/producer recently had his first child with girlfriend Kim Kardashian and earlier this year released his sixth studio album, Yeezus.
