Katie Noonan Unveils 2017 Queensland Music Festival Lineup

Aussie singer-songwriter Katie Noonan is the new Artistic Director of the Queensland Music Festival, and she’s just unveiled her first ever lineup for the 2017 edition of the festival.

The festival runs from the 7th to the 30th of July, and will encompass a stack of events featuring a throng of artists from around the country.

Leading the lineup are Kate Ceberano, Montaigne, Isaiah, Lior, Steve Kilbey, Dave Hobson, Katie Noonan and Archie Roach.

The festival brings together projects including the You’re The Voice event which will see thousands of singers perform at Brisbane’s South Bank Piazza to sing John Farnham’s classic song by the same name.

There are also events and programs offering mentorships with artists, showcasing rural school kids, highlighting the healing power of music and sending workshops to remote Western Queensland towns.

As usual, the QMF will encompass events not just in Brisbane but across the whole of Queensland.

“I want the talented and passionate people of Queensland to be empowered to join the 2017 festival and help create performances that truly reflect the life of our diverse and vibrant state,” said Noonan of this year’s festival.
