The 37-year-old Grammy-nominated singer Kesha had all eyes on her during the past week, visiting random gas stations for a pop-up photo shoot.
It’s all part of her weird rollout plan for her new single, “Joy Ride,” which is going to be released on Thursday, 4th July.
Kesha ‘Joy Ride’
On Saturday,29th June, she took to Instagram to post a video where she is seen parading herself through a lot of gas stations in the most glamorous red outfit, finally using the platform to announce her new single officially.
She captioned the video, “You’re right, I am a bitch. JOYRIDE ♡ 7/4,” along with sharing a teaser snippet of the song. The announcement comes after entirely some speculation, too, as Kesha teased way back in February as to why she hadn’t been putting out any new music. Fans, of course, will be looking forward to this latest release with bated breath following such a crazed and frenetic promotional ordeal.
The track ‘Joy Ride’ is Kesha’s first release since resolving her lawsuit with Dr.Luke and separating her ways from his label via RCA. She filed a lawsuit against the producer back in 2014 accusing him of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse.
Kesha was also recently seen celebrating her first show as a “free freaking woman” during the WeHo Pride at Outloud Fest, which was where the debut of her unreleased song ‘Freedom’ took place.
