UPDATE: Kesha Cancels Bluesfest Appearance, Postpones 2018 Australian Tour
ORIGINAL STORY: Bluesfest has delivered its third lineup announcement for 2018, and it’s topped by none other than pop Queen Kesha.
Kesha will head down under for the first time since releasing her Grammy-nominated third album Rainbow, and will headline Bluesfest 2018’s Thursday night.
She’s joined at the top of today’s announcement by two other legendary female performers in Sheryl Crow and Melissa Etheridge. Crow has never played Bluesfest before, however, Etheridge is returning for another performance at the event.
There are plenty more names featured on today’s lineup drop, including Latin American groove-maker Juanes; Brazilian musician Seu Jorge, who will perform a tribute to David Bowie; Byron Bay local Ziggy Alberts and Icelandic favourite Ásgeir.
As always, Bluesfest is shining a light on local acts too with beloved duo Holy Holy and guitar master Harts also set to play the festival.
They join a bill which already includes legends like Lionel Ritchie, Robert Plant and Seal.
Check out the full third lineup announcement below, plus the entire bill.
