Kian has released his second single of 2024, entitled ‘Regrets’. As with his previous single ‘Try Hard’, the Sydney singer-songwriter made the track in collaboration with producers Rob Amoruso and Pip “Count Bounce” Norman. Press materials for ‘Regrets’ describe it as “an introspective track that’s a candid exploration of grappling with past decisions, and the lingering weight of what might have been.”
“This is still only the beginning of what’s to come, so expect more,” said Kian in a press statement. “I hope you guys can feel the things I feel from this track and all the others to come.” To support the release of the single, an accompanying music video has been shared. Made by Matt Wilson of AW Studio, the clip depicts Kian in a hostage situation after being kidnapped by two men. The video transpires in what appears to be a single take.
Kian – ‘Regrets’
‘Regrets’ is the third single to be lifted from Kian’s forthcoming debut album Wake Up. The album is alluded to at the end of the music video, with the final text seen reading “YOU’RE FALLING… WAKE UP.” Both his 2023 single ‘The Way’ and ‘Try Hard’ are expected to appear on the album. At the time of writing, an official release date for Wake Up is yet to be set.
Last month saw Kian play three shows in support of The Band CAMINO‘s national tour of Australia. Next month, he will play a pair of co-headlining shows with Brisbane pop singer Logan. The duo will play The Lansdowne in Sydney on Thursday May 30th with Chloe Parche, before playing Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club the following day on Friday May 31st with Azzizz. They will also perform at Castlemaine’s Live At The Camp on Saturday May 25th. Tickets for all shows are available here.
