The most objectively important moment in Australian rock legacy has now happened, you guys. Killing Heidi have returned, announcing their first live show in a decade to mark the band’s 20th anniversary.
The band have confirmed they’ll be headlining the already-bursting-at-the-seams Queenscliff Music Festival, which will also be celebrating its 20th anniversary. So far, no other shows have been confirmed but it’s looking like a safe bet.
The good news doesn’t stop there. As part of the milestone, the band will be re-releasing their seminal debut, 2000’s Reflector digitally. The album was met with thunderous applause from the people and went a crazy 4x platinum, took out four ARIA awards and went on to soundtrack many an teenagehood with anthems such as Mascara and Weir.
Brother/sister act Ella & Jesse Hooper seem understandably stoked on the change to perform under the Killing Heidi banner, dubbing it “a celebration not a reformation.”
UPDATE 21/09/16: And a safe bet it was! Killing Heidi have announced further festival appearances to compliment their one at the almost sold out Queenscliff Music Festival.
