Prolific purveyors of fuzz King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have not only just recently announced their seventh album in three years, they’ve also today dropped the news that they’re heading home this December for a double headline tour with cult Swedish outfit Goat.
King Gizzard and their mysterious Gothenberg-based, Korpilombolo-bred tour mates will hit up stages in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney on an east coast jaunt that’s sure to be as epic as the two bands themselves.
While we don’t know much about the individuals that make up Goat, we do know their breakout 2012 album World Music, which blended a whole host of global music sounds, landed on many a best album list. They followed that up with 2014’s Commune, and will be showcasing tunes from both on their debut visit here this December.
King Gizzard will release Paper Mâché Dream Balloon, a 12-track acoustic collection which follows their sixth studio album Quarters!, on 13th November this year.
