It’s been three years since Kings Of Leon‘s last album Mechanical Bull but it’s looking very likely that the wait for the follow-up is nearly over.
The band have updated their socials with a new profile picture as well as a caption that reads “New album coming soon. #WALLS #KOL7,” suggesting that it’s titled Walls.
Bassist Jarred Followill and drummer Nathan Followill have further teased the release by tweeting out different visuals with the caption, “It’s coming.”
There’s no release date set just yet but the social media updates are a good sign that it’s well and truly on its way.
The Nashville band returned to the live circuit in June and have a smattering of dates locked in for the rest of the year. Presumably they will use these shows to try out some of their new material off the forthcoming album.
In January, it was reported that Kings Of Leon would release their seventh album by the end of the year.
“We’ve already started pre-production in our studio for the next record, but the main thing on the calendar for 2016 is getting the record finished,” Nathan told Associated Press.
They were planning on recording the album in LA where they recorded their first two records Youth & Young Manhood and Aha Shake Heartbreak.
