Kings Of Leon Return To Australia In November For One Show At Sydney Harbour

Nashville rockers Kings of Leon are set to return to Aussie shores for one exclusive show on Sydney Harbour. The band are heading Down Under to promote their latest full length album, Mechanical Bull, which is slated for release on Friday, 20th September.

The brothers Followill — Caleb, Nathan and Jared — and their cousin Matthew, will be celebrating their upcoming sixth album with what is sure to be a blitz of Southern rock, including old hits like Taper Jean Girl and King of the Rodeo, as well as songs from the new record, including their latest single Supersoaker, and album track Wait For Me.

The band couldn’t be happier to see Australian soil again, with drummer Nathan telling Triple M “We’re so excited to be coming back to Australia to play on Sydney Harbour. We can’t wait to see all our fans come out and have some fun with us–we’ll drink a beer or two! They should probably go ahead and get their tickets now ’cause I got a feeling they’re going to go pretty fast!”

The event is an exclusive partnership with Triple M and Channel V and you can’t buy your way in. Triple M explained:

“In support of the release, Channel [V] is embarking on a national tour from next Friday, hitting capital cities with a mechanical bull to give away the very first tickets to Kings Of Leon Live On Sydney Harbour.

“The challenge? Whoever can stay on the bull the longest scores tickets for them and a mate, including flights and accommodation in Sydney. There’s a double pass up for grabs in each city.”

Those lacking in bull-riding chops can still win tickets by visiting the Triple M and Channel V websites from Monday, 30th September. You’d be well-advised to start training those rodeo skills, this is sure to be one of the hottest gigs on the year.
