With their new single “Generation Why” all over the national airwaves and a mainstage slot at Splendour In The Grass right around the corner, KISSCHASY are proud to announce their ‘SEIZURES’ concert tour. It will be the Mornington Peninsula band’s first national run for over a year and sees them traversing the country from South East Queensland right around to Perth.
Since they last hit the highway the band has been ensconced in the seedy underbelly of LA creating their brand new album ‘SEIZURES’. Recorded with legendary indie-rock producer Rob Schnapf (Elliot Smith, The Vines, Powderfinger, Beck) it sees this young band really finding their voice in the time-honoured manner of third studio efforts from days gone by.
“We’re really excited to finally be getting out on the road to play these new songs” the group’s singer/songwriter/guitarist, Darren “Daz” Cordeux said. “The songs on Seizures are basically a diary of my life and personal experiences. I wrote them after being ripped off, pissed off, bored, watching too much TV and missing my girlfriend.”
With two gold certified albums already under their belts, KISSCHASY unleash ‘SEIZURES’ on August 21st.The addictive-as-crack lead single – GENERATION WHY – the “ode the whingers everywhere” is
already climbing the airplay and iTunes charts and there’s even a CD single with exclusive bonus
tracks hitting record stores next week.
KISSCHASY’s last headline tour saw them play sold out shows at major concert venues like Sydney’s Enmore Theatre and The Palace in Melbourne in late 2008 so make sure you get in quick this time to avoid disappointment.
Along for the ride are the unstoppable REGULAR JOHN. The Sydney foursome’s debut album, THE PEACEFUL ATOM IS A BOMB – was released earlier this year to rave reviews. The record has since
been described as ‘somehow finding the common ground between At the Drive In, John Lennon and Sonic Youth.’ Make sure you arrive early to catch REGULAR JOHN in all their fuzzy–freaked out glory.
‘SEIZURES’ national concert tour is proudly presented by John Watson Management, The Harbour Agency, Triple J, Faster Louder & Macbeth. Tickets go on sale Monday August 3 at 9am.
