In one of the mostly unlikely and unexpected mashups in recent history, even taking into account the comedy miracle that was Monuments’ Bruce Almighty metal edit, nu-metal giants Korn have released their very own remix of Rihanna‘s recent hit Bitch Better Have My Money, and, well, it’s not terrible.
Yes, yes I know. All signs of this combination point towards disaster, but Korn have clawed onto the original track’s aggression and DGAF attitude, added some brutal guitar riffs and crashing cymbals and ta-da, you have one heck of a headbanger. I don’t know why, but it works.
Given that the original song, and its blood soaked NSFW video, play out a pretty violent revenge fantasy – one which scarily rings true to anyone following the adventures of #AusPol – taking the song to another extreme via a metal remix, isn’t too much of a stretch.
