American singer-songwriter Kurt Vile has announced a 2019 Australian tour around his upcoming appearance at Byron Bay’s Bluesfest.
Fresh from announcing his new solo album Bottle It In (arriving on 12th October), the rocker has now scheduled headline tour dates with his band The Violators in April, taking in Sydney, Wollongong, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
Today’s album and tour announcement also arrives with a new song titled ‘Bassackwards’, which follows previous Bottle It In single ‘Loading Zones’. Stream the new song below, alongside Vile’s upcoming Australian tour dates.
Vile last toured down under in 2017, when he performed solo around the country. His previous solo album was 2015’s B’lieve I’m Goin Down…, and he released Lotta Sea Lice with Courtney Barnett last year.
