Kylie Minogue and The Presets will perform alongside Stereogamous, the duo of Australian EDM royalty Paul Mac and DJ Seymour Butz, at Sydney’s Beresford Hotel for a pre-Mardi Gras party. According to Sky News, Minogue will perform her upcoming new single, Into the Blue.
According to a post on the Stereogamous Facebook page, the event was intended as a secret show featuring the pair, international house DJ Shaun J Wright, and Brendan Maclean, but got a high-profile gatecrashing after The Presets tweeted that they would be “dropping tunes” from 8pm.
Meanwhile, Kylie, who recently touched down in her homeland to begin filming the Nine Network’s singing competition show The Voice, took to Twitter for suggestions on where she could party while in Sydney, writing, “Sydney!!! I feel like going #intotheblue tonight! Suggestions??”
Presumably finding out about the party happening at the Beresford, Australia’s own queen of pop then tweeted, “It sounds like The Beresford is the place to be. Who’s gonna join me for some fun?” The publicity manager for the Beresford has since confirmed to Sky that Kylie will be appearing.
“It’s definitely happening tonight – upstairs at the Beresford – but the timing hasn’t been confirmed,” she said. With a lineup featuring our homegrown queen of pop, some of our biggest EDM acts, and some international talent to boot, it looks like the Beresford is indeed the place to be.
Sounds like #SydneyMardiGras might be coming early for some of you 😉 We’ll be dropping tunes at Upstairs Beresford Sydney 8PM tonight…
