Lamb Of God’s Randy Blythe FREE – Returns To America

After spending the past 5 weeks in a Czech prison, Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe has finally been released and has returned to America. Speaking with a Czech reporter after being released, Blythe said: “It [prison] wasn’t bad but it wasn’t exactly fun. I’m relieved to be out of jail but if it’s necessary for me to return to Prague to go to this court thing, I certainly will, I’m no flight risk.”

When asked about the manslaughter charge, Blythe explained that he didn’t even remember. “I’ve played thousands of concerts, to people not used to this type of music; I know it must seem crazy and violent in its appearance, but that sort of activity is normal at a concert, that type of dancing. That sort of behavior is normal at concerts. It is very tragic that a young man died. I feel very bad that a fan of my band is dead and his family has to go through it, it’s terrible, I feel awful for them but it’s a tragic coincidence.”

Lamb of God will return to the stage on August 17th for a performance at Slipknot’s KNOTFEST. Following the announcement that Blythe would be released, the KNOTFEST organisers issued the following statement:

“We are honored to present LAMB OF GOD and thrilled to learn that Randy will be onstage for what is sure to be an amazing moment at KNOTFEST.”

Randy Blythe will issue an official statement next week regarding his time in Prague.
