Lana Del Rey Announces Her First-Ever Country Album ‘Lasso’

Lana Del Rey has surprised fans by announcing her first-ever country album, Lasso, which is set to be released in September this year. The announcement came during a Billboard pre-Grammy Awards event, where she expressed her excitement about diving into the country music scene.

Lana Del Rey mentioned her new country music venture, stating, “If you can’t already tell by our award winners and our performers, the music business is going country.’ She told the crowd as per Rolling Stone. We’re going country. It’s happening. That’s why Jack (producer) has followed me to Muscle Shoals, Nashville, Mississippi, over the last four years.”

The new upcoming country album ‘Lasso’ will be Lana Del Rey’s tenth studio album, following last year’s album Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd. This last album has already earned her five nominations at the 2024 Grammys. This includes Album of the Year and Best Alternative Music Album.
