Fans of Lana Del Rey will be absolutely stoked with a couple big piece of news from the American singer-songwriter.
Taking to Instagram, Del Rey revealed that her collection of printed poetry is taking longer than she planned to prep for release, so in the meatime, she’s going to release a spoken word album.
The album will be a collection of her “freestyle poetry” and will be released on January 4.
It will cost $1, and the singer is planning to donate half the proceeds to Native American organisations with a view to help in “preserving their rights or trying to help keep their land intact.”
“In doing my own work in connecting to my family lineage, I was encouraged to also try and connect with the country’s lineage — this was a while ago — and it kind of informed the next album that I’ve been working on,” she said.
On top of that news, Lana Del Rey has also released a three-song video for ‘Norman Fucking Rockwell’, ‘Bartender’ and ‘Happiness Is a Butterfly’.
The clip is directed by her sister Chuck Grant and goes for a whopping 14 minutes.
