Savages
Savages push an acerbic brand of English post-punk revival, with a black & white aesthetic and tons of vocal dynamism from frontwoman Jehnny Beth. Think Joy Division, Public Image Ltd. and Siouxsie and the Banshees if you want an idea of the vibe. The all-female quartet released their stellar debut album Silence Yourself in May this year, to much critical acclaim. Renowned for banning recording equipment at their extremely dramatic live shows, this is a band you won’t want to miss (Check out the stunning performance of She Will below if you have doubts).
