Sydney’s famed and beloved Lansdowne Hotel has had new life breathed into its hallowed halls, with a recent refurbishment transforming the venue into what owners have described as a “New York warehouse,” it’s now ready to start hosting live music again. The news comes after the venue was finally reopened to the public back in June.
The refurbishments were part of a move to bring the Lansdowne back to business after a fire broke out in the venue, earlier this year. With a new decor and a “tasty New York diner menu,” the Lansdowne Hotel is excited about its relaunch as a live music venue.
The return will take place this Friday, 18th October, with a special launch party presented by the Lansdowne and Superstylin’ Entertainment. The show will be completely free of charge, with the lineup set to be announced Tuesday, 24th September. The owners described it as “worth the wait.”
Speaking on what live music means to the Lansdowne, the owners said in a press release “Live music plays an important part in the cultural fabric of Sydney, and as an iconic live music venue, the Lansdowne remains committed to both its patrons and bands.”
