American pop trio LANY have announced a bunch of Australian tour dates for May 2022. It’ll be their first visit since releasing their third album, Mama’s Boy (2020), and fourth album, gg bb xx (2021).
LANY, the trio of vocalist and songwriter Paul Klein, drummer Jake Goss and keys player Charles Priest, made a favourable impression on Australian audiences touring off the back of their debut album, LANY, in 2017. They returned in both 2018 and 2019, the latter tour coming after the release of the band’s second LP, Malibu Nights.
LANY’s May 2022 tour will include their biggest Australian shows to date. The tour begins in Perth on Friday, 20th May, before travelling east to Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney and ending in Brisbane on Sunday, 29th May. Sasha Alex Sloan – who recently appeared alongside G-Eazy on the Martin Garrix single ‘Love Runs Out’ – will support LANY on all dates of the tour.
LANY’s latest album, gg bb xx, includes collaborations with a range of decoated songwriters and producers, including Andrew Goldstein (Maroon 5, Katy Perry, Lauv), John Ryan (Shawn Mendes, Charlie Puth, Harry Styles), David Hodges (Ed Sheeran, 5SOS, Blink 182), Tobias Jesso Jr. (Adele, Sia, HAIM), Dan Smyers of Dan + Shay and more.
