It looks like The Last Shadow Puppets have done something to rub one of their support acts Yak up the wrong way.
In a series of since deleted tweets, the British band called out The Last Shadow Puppets’ crew for not allowing them to soundcheck throughout the tour.
Yak have supported The Last Shadow Puppets on numerous dates throughout the year in Europe but things reached boiling point in Berlin, judging by the tweets.
They wrote, “[the] crew have been assholes to us and not letting soundcheck throughout the tour. Cunts sorry Berlin.”
They further tweeted, “glad it’s over never again,” suggesting they’re done touring with the duo for good.
Both bands are yet to respond since the tweets were deleted and NME are also suggesting Yak could’ve been hacked but they have not clarified.
A Twitter user grabbed screenshots of the tweets before they were deleted and you can see them below.
Back in May, Yak spoke to NME about being asked to play shows with The Last Shadow Puppets.
“I think they got hold of the album and were into it, so they invited us to play,” they said.
“Like we’ve said from the start, we’ll play with whoever will have us. A lot of people won’t.”
It sounds like that attitude may be changing if these tweets are to be believed.
