Having just finished up a national tour with her full band, Melburnian singer-songwriter Laura Imbruglia is stripping her tunes back and playing a string of bare bones solo shows, bringing audiences some intimate versions of the tracks from her stunning third full-length album, What A Treat.
Imbruglia will be bringing her gorgeous tunes to a Tuesday night residency at Brunswick’s The Spotted Mallard in August, supported by extremely talented friends Ladie Dee (Howl At The Moon), Alyx Dennison (ex-kyu), Ben Mason (ex-Smallgoods) and Bob Harrow (Immigrant Union). The guests will be jumping in on some of Laura’s tunes too, guaranteeing a different set every week and some glorious harmonies.
She’ll also be kicking off a tour around regional Victoria with her good mate Bob Evans, aka Kevin Mitchell, aka Mr Jebediah. The duo will be taking their live show to Torquay, Geelong, Ballarat, San Remo and Warrnambool in August Sepetmber, the first time Imburglia has played in many of these places.
