A few days ago, we told you about LCD Soundsystem releasing their farewell documentary, Shut up and Play the Hits.
The film, based around their last ever live performance almost a year ago, features interviews with frontman James Murphy, and will be screened at SxSW on the 2nd April.
The group, who broke up last April, have just announced they will also be reissuing their very first single, Losing My Edge. The single was originally released in 2002 on Murphy’s own label, DFA Records, and was backed by another track from the band’s self-titled debut, Beat Connection.
There is no word as yet whether the forthcoming reissue will feature Beat Connection as the B-side. The 12″ vinyl is scheduled for release on April 21, in order to coincide with Record Store Day.
