‘Leaked’ UNIFY Gathering 2018 Lineup Poster Is “Fake”, Organisers Say

UPDATE: The full 2018 UNIFY Gathering lineup has now been announced.

ORIGINAL STORY: A poster which appeared online overnight claiming to contain the leaked 2018 UNIFY Gathering lineup has already been called out as “fake” by festival organisers.

The poster, which was allegedly spotted in UNIFY Gathering’s hometown of Gippsland, names System Of A Down and Parkway Drive as the festival’s headliners, with other acts like Deck Deep, Architects and August Burns Red also leading the bill.

Since the alleged leak, Unify Music Group’s Chief Commercial Officer, Luke Logemann, has taken to Twitter to call out the poster as a hoax, saying, “As honored as I am that people are putting so much effort into a fake poster, at least give us the credit to change the art from last year.”

The “fake” poster does include the correct festival dates, as well as a spot for Hellions (whose spot on the 2018 lineup may have been teased by UNIFY earlier this month). That said, despite a possible Northlane appearance being teased yesterday, they don’t appear anywhere on the ‘leaked’ poster.

In a separate series of tweets, Logemann says “only one band from last year is playing” in 2018, with eight of the acts having played the festival in the past.

Earlier this week, UNIFY Gathering organisers revealed that five out of the 29 acts on the 2018 UNIFY lineup will contain female members, in a lengthy statement about gender diversity.

The real (and “incredibly special”) 2018 UNIFY Gathering lineup is set to be announced at 10am AEST this Thursday, 31st August. Stay tuned to Music Feeds for the lineup as soon as it drops.
