Rumours have been circulating that following on from their one-off reunion show in 2007, Led Zeppelin are planning to reform once more to play the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics. However, according to Jason Bonham, the son of late Zeppelin drummer John Bonham who subbed in for his father at the 2007 show at London’s O2 arena, such a reunion is unlikely if not impossible.
Speaking to the British newspaper The Sun, Bonham has said “I haven’t spoken to Robert [Plant] for about six months, but he is really enjoying himself,” he said. “For me, you can never say never. If you ask me today is it gonna happen immediately, well no, there is no talk of it. But if you said to me in 2007 I would play with Led Zeppelin in December that year I would say you’re nuts, so you never know.”
