Liam Gallagher Confirms Debut Solo Album Is Coming, Says Gorillaz Will Be No Competition

Liam Gallagher is convinced that his debut solo album will blow us all away when it is released later this year, confirming when asked on twitter that it was indeed on its way.

When asked when the first single would be out, Gallagher responded that there was “no rush” because “it’s not like there’s much competition out there” at the moment.

He recently fired up at his brother Noel (surprise surprise) for putting aside his differences with Blur frontman Damon Albarn and contributing to the track ‘We Got The Power’ on Gorillaz new album Humanz.

Albarn and Noel even performed the track together on Graham Norton over the weekend, a performance that lead Liam to believe that his brother had “seriously lost the plot.”

When asked afterwards on Twitter whether he faced any competition on the music scene from Albarn’s virtual band, Gallagher responded “It’s going to be a walk in the park mate.”

Last year Liam spoke about his forthcoming album, saying that it will contain everything from “John-Lennon-Y” ballads and “Rock ‘N’ Roll Bangers.”
