Liam Gallagher has accused his brother Noel of threatening him with a legal smackdown if he dares to use any Oasis footage in his upcoming documentary, As It Was.
The younger Gallagher made the claims (naturally) on Twitter, writing: “Ive just been informed that I’ll be sued by the not so mighty little fella and his goons at [management company] Ignition if I use any footage of me singing oasis yes oasis songs in As It Was. Who’s bitter now eh”.
The forthcoming film, directed by Charlie Lightening (Paul McCartney, Kasabian), has been described by Liam as being “about my musical comeback – it covers the writing and recording of my first solo album [2017’s As We Were, which hit #1 in the UK], right through to playing it live for the very first time in my hometown of Manchester and around the world”.
A spokesperson for Noel Gallagher has told The Guardian the singer will not be making a comment on the accusation.
Us waiting to see if Liam includes some sneaky Oasis footage just to bait him like:
The whole thing comes after Liam tried to sweet talk Noel into reuniting Oasis over Twitter last year.
Clearly that didn’t pan out well.
