Liam Gallagher: “You’ll Like The New Beady Eye Album If You’re Into Drugs”

Liam Gallagher has told two teenage fans that Beady Eye‘s forthcoming second album will be “pretty druggy”.

NME reports that Gallagher did an impromptu interview with the two fans – Ryan Butterworth and Elliot Cole – outside a pub in Brockenhurst in the UK this week. They’ve put it on YouTube, and you can check it out at the bottom of the page.

In the interview, Gallagher went on to reveal that the album is “like rock ‘n’ roll but it’s fired out into space”, and that the band would be doing all sorts of shows to plug its release.

“It’s rock ‘n’ roll but it’s fired out into space. If you’re into drugs you’ll like it. it’s pretty druggy.”

“We’ll be out in a few months. We’re playing festivals, bar mitzvahs. We’ve got to make it right this time, last time was a bit fucking stupid.”

Of note, he declared that the band won’t be doing Reading Festival in the UK in August, saying, “We’re not doing that fucking thing!”

Butterworth told NME that he discovered that Gallagher had been in Brockenhurst to finish off mixing the new record, and ended up spending around two hours at the pub chatting with his idol.

“He was really down to earth and I stayed with him for about two hours drinking with him. [I was] asking lots of questions he said he was in the area as he just finished mixing the new album around the corner.”

“I am a huge Gallagher fan. I have every record ever. Being a musician there is no one I look up to more in music.”
