Lilly Wood & The Prick Release New Album ‘The Fight’ And Announce Tour Dates

The story of how Nili and Ben of Lilly Wood & The Prick met reads like a modern day fairy tale, rock & roll apocrypha, and indie film screenplay all rolled into one. Five years on from a fateful meeting in a Paris bar, the duo have released their second album The Fight and are bringing their smooth brand of alt-pop to Australia.

2010 saw the duo of Nili Hadida and Benjamin Cotto release Invincible Friends, their debut LP, which reached the Top 50 in the French charts. They play what’s been described as “an unabashed, disabused, melancholy and playful kind of pop.” It’s a charming, seductive and smooth feast for the temporal lobes, combining elements of soul, jazz, and lounge music.

To celebrate the Australian release of The Fight, which comes out Friday, 18th October, on Cartell Music/Inertia, and the release of their single, Where I Want To Be (California), Nili and Benjamin will be bringing their heady take on pop to Australia for a run of dates kicking off at So Frenchy So Chic in the Park in Melbourne on Sunday, 12th January 2014, with dates in Brisbane and Sydney following.

Get your tickets now as these are sure to be some of the most intimate and unique musical performances of 2014. You can check out the gorgeous video for Where I Want To Be (California) below.
