Lily Allen’s Brother Rubbishes Sister’s ‘Game Of Thrones’ Claims

During a revealing Reddit AMA last month, Splendour-bound UK pop provocateur Lily Allen recounted how she was offered a role on Game of Thrones, but turned it down after she was allegedly slated to be involved in an incestuous scene alongside her real-life brother Alfie Allen. Now Alfie, who plays Theon Greyjoy on the hit HBO fantasy series, says this never happened.

In the song Alfie from Allen’s debut album Alright, Still, the singer portrayed her younger brother as a bludger and pathological cannabis-smoker, which prompted one Reddit user to ask how Allen felt when her ne’er-do-well sibling “immediately went and got a job on the coolest show on tv?”

“I’ve been asked to do a Game of Thrones cameo,” responded Allen. “They asked me if I’d be interested in playing Theon’s sister [Yara], and I felt uncomfortable because I would have had to go on a horse and he would have touched me up and shit. Once they told me what was entailed, I said no thanks.” However, she added that she would be “open” to doing a musical cameo on the show.

Now Alfie has rubbished his sister’s story, telling Vulture, “I heard about [the cameo offer]. The only thing I’m going to say on that is that it’s not true. And also that Gemma Whalen was always their first choice for the part. And she’s fantastic. And that’s the only thing I’m going to say about that.”
