Australia is suffering from peak LiLo fever like it’s 2004 all over again, as Lindsay Lohan is now a judge (?) on the Australian version of The Masked Singer (??) which earned over a million viewers for each of its first two episodes (???)
Now, as Lohan has beamed her way back into relevancy, she’s dropped her long-teased single ‘Xanax’, her first song in over a decade. The song is available to hear in full – for now – on her Instagram page.
The song was written and recorded with Alma, who has worked with the likes of Charli XCX, Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, Lana Del Rey and more. It’s about social anxiety and having someone to help relieve it.
“This video is a compilation of vignettes of life,” Lohan wrote about the accompanying video she posted to Instagram.
“Family, love, the process of moving forward and letting go of the past. To live and be happy, free of fear. Just to be grateful and open our eyes to our opportunities instead of numbing the mind.”
This isn’t Lohan’s first foray into music, having released two albums back in 2004 and 2005 – Speak and A Little More Personal (Raw) respectively.
