The lineup is here for next year’s BASSINTHEGRASS music festival, which takes place at Darwin’s Mindil Beach in May 2022.
The 2021 event was the biggest in the festival’s history, with more 14,000 people making the trek to Larrakia country for the occasion. It was also, arguably, one of the most impressive BITG lineups to date, featuring Violent Soho, Chillinit, Thelma Plum, The Rubens, Missy Higgins, Lime Cordiale, The Jungle Giants and stacks more.
The organisers were determined to maintain this high standard when planning BITG 2022, which will be open to people who’ve received a double (or triple) dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Highlights from the 2022 lineup include the NT’s own Jessica Mauboy, as well as Hilltop Hoods, Angus Stone’s Dope Lemon project, The Teskey Brothers, Montaigne, Xavier Rudd and plenty more.
“I can’t wait to see you all and perform live with my band at Mindil Beach,” said Mauboy. “I’m looking forward to singing some of your favourites and new music too with you all soon.” Vera Blue, who’s also on the lineup, shared Mauboy’s enthusiasm: “I am so excited to be back in Darwin to perform to my wonderful fans again,” she said.
Early bird tickets have already sold out, but GA tickets are on sale now. Learn more at the BITG website, and see the full lineup below.
