Kurt Cobain has one of the most distinctive voices in the history of not just rock but all music. Perhaps at times lost in the mix of thrashing guitars and Dave Grohl’s legendary drumming, this vocal track not only emphasises Cobain’s gravelled delivery but also his ability for pitch and inflection.
This vocal recording was actually uploaded in 2010 but has just recently started to gather more viewings.
Nevermind celebrated its 20th anniversary last year. To commemorate the re-release Grohl and Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic covered a handful of Nirvana songs. Then in September of 2011 on the exact day of Nevermind’s 20th anniversary Live At The Paramount, the only known Nirvana live show ever recorded on film, premiered live via satellite around Australia.
