American indie stars Of Montreal are less than two weeks from releasing their eleventh album Paralytic Stalks, and so far all we’ve heard of it is a teaser video, which contained 30 second samples of each track.
Spin have an exclusive full album stream up online for you to listen to, and a fairly good description of all 9 tracks; you’ll probably need it, as it has been described as their most “tantalizingly complex” album yet.
The album was recorded at the home of main songwriter Kevin Barnes in Athens, Georgia and mixed by engineer Drew Vangenberg. It’s said to cross several genres – with the band’s presser saying that Paralytic Stalks “at times resembles modern classical with its intricate compositions, while at others echoes of neo-prog, pseudo-country, and 60s pop can be heard.”
Paralytic Stalks is due out on the 10th February.
