Listen: Omar Souleyman remixes Bjork

Bjork is busy at the moment, which should be cause for cheer. As Consequence of Sound points out, she is currently overseeing the impending release of a new album, an App and a very expensive and elaborate box set. Now, it has been revealed that in the run-up to the release of her much-anticipated Biophilia album on September 27, she will be releasing a series of remixes of album tracks from the LP.

The producers involved with the remixes are Serban Ghenea, Matthew Herbert and Syrian superstar Omar Souleyman. Souleyman’s remixes of Crystalline, Tesla and Mawal can be heard below. The remix project goes by the name of The Crystalline Series.

Souleyman was touring in Australia for the first time in March of this year, the NME-approved star touring his latest album Jazeera Nights.

Serben Ghenea, meanwhile, is a Grammy Award-winning producer with a Latin bent, and has worked with the likes of Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Usher, Rod Stewart and many more. Matthew Herbert is largely known as an acclaimed British house producer who is also a successful artist in his own right. He has worked with Quincy Jones, R.E.M, Yoko Ono, John Cale, Cornelius and Perry Farrell.
