There is now less than a week until the Tuesday, 9th April release date locked in for Paramore’s eagerly awaited self-titled album but it appears the band have been unable to contain their excitement for the release. Today we have been offered the first half (or ‘side A’ in olden-days speak) of the album, giving us access to 4 tracks, 3 of which are fresh to our ears.
After a fun little introduction from the trio, we dive straight into it, introducing the previously unheard track Fast In My Car, followed up by the first single from the album, Now. While Now has been doing the rounds for a matter of months now, it’s interesting to see how it fits in with the context of the album.
At the halfway point of the stream, Grow Up kicks in and marks a noticeable change in general vibe for Paramore. The band members themselves explain that the track is a bit different from what they normally release and seems to carry on in a similar fashion to Still Into You, the album’s second single – check it out, you’ll see what we mean.
Day Dreaming is the fairly chilled finale from side A and, if you’re a bit of a fan, you’re gonna be wanting more. But don’t stress – side B is dropping Wednesday night Australian time, so stay tuned to Feeds and we’ll bring you the rest!
