Snoop Lion (who changes back to Snoop Dogg every second day) has released No Guns Allowed, the first official single from his upcoming reggae rebirth album Reincarnated.
No Guns Allowed features Drake, Cori B and a few vocals from his daughter Shante Broadus. The track is apparently designed to promote “the message of hope and peace in light of recent events around the world”.
Snoop’s much-mooted reggae album Reincarnated will be released locally on April 26th. Along with Drake’s recent spot on the new track, the album also features other guest such as Chris Brown and T.I., Busta Rhymes, Akon and Rita Ora. A companion film of the same name – tracing the rapper’s trip to Jamaica where he received his Rastafarian enlightenment, will also be released on the same date.
Dare I say it, the track is bit of a step down from his last offering, Lighters Up. The sleepy reggae vibe is still there but the chorus gets just a tad annoying after a little while. Anyway, check it out and make up your own mind below.
