Your favourite bar band is back and they’ve reassembled the old crew, the Cityscape Skins, for a new album’s worth of lyrically dense, narrative-driven, beer-ready rock and roll. The album’s called Teeth Dreams and fans can get a taste right now with The Hold Steady‘s new single, Spinners.
“I think there is something beautiful and hopeful about watching someone all dressed up riding the train into the city,” said professorial frontman Craig Finn about the meaning behind Spinners, which the band recently performed on the Late Show with David Letterman. Check it out below.
Teeth Dreams is The Hold Steady’s sixth studio effort and their first on their own Positive Jams imprint, via new label Washington Square. The album gets its Australian release on Friday, 2nd May, with the release set to feature three tracks exclusive to the Australian edition.
