Listen To Carly Rae Jepsen’s New Dysfunctional Christmas Anthem

With Halloween done and dusted, the Christmas-themed songs are arriving. Carly Rae Jepsen has blessed us with a Christmas jam, ‘It’s Not Christmas Till Somebody Cries’ and it’s the anthem for dysfunctional family gathos.

Jepsen details the biggest woes that come with family Christmas in the jangly song. Her vegan boyfriend being fed fish, an uncle talking politics, and her having a few opinions and starting a fight.

Her grandpa then eats, “the gummies that we meant to hide.”

“We tried to play it off like it’s a holiday high,” Carly Rae Jepsen sings. “He unwrapped all the presents and he ruined the surprise.”

“Christmas holiday is my favorite time of year,” Jepsen said in a statement.

“I love it, but so often emotions run high and expectation versus reality is something I’d like to shed some light on and hopefully some laughs too in the process.

“So if you are lucky enough to get to be with the ones that matter most to you this year-embrace it!

“And if things go south just remember, the secret is to sing a little song to survive… that it’s not Christmas till somebody cries!”

This isn’t Jepsen’s first holiday-themed single. She gave us a Valentines Day tune ‘Let’s Be Friends (Not Really Though)’ this year as well.

Of course, in classic Carly Rae Jepsen fashion, ‘It’s Not Christmas Till Somebody Cries’ is a huge tune. Have a listen below.
