Next February, daine will be releasing their sophomore mixtape, Shapeless. The experimental artist has shared the project’s title track, a song that showcases daine’s continued knack for sonic exploration.
Of ‘Shapeless’, daine said, “it’s a dark track about becoming what people want, but using that as leverage to get what you want.”

They continued: “The lyrics are, ‘lips fake / eyes fake / teeth fake / facelift. I got it all, now I’m shapeless.’ I’m customising my avatar to become a flawless CGI character, and using that to get further in my life.”
The release of ‘Shapeless’ comes off the back of ‘Stay Close’, a track that laid a compelling foundation for daine’s next chapter. daine’s debut EP-length release, Quantum Jumping, came out in April 2022 and included the singles ‘New Ground’ and ‘IDC’.
Their 2021 single, ‘boys wanna txt’, featured a guest appearance from ericdoa and production from 100 Gecs’ Dylan Brady. daine’s follow-up single, ‘SALT’ was a metallic electronic track that featured Bring Me The Horizon’s Oli Sykes.
