Lorde fans have been parched for new music from the alt-pop icon for four years now, but that drought is over today with the release of her new song, ‘Solar Power’.
It’s a dream of a new single. As the song’s title suggests, it’s a summery single with the sunniest vibes.
The iconic lyric, “Come one, come all, tell you my secrets / I’m kinda like a prettier Jesus,” captures the song in its essence.
The breezy new single comes with a music video as well. Directed by Joel Kefali and Ella Yelich-O’Connor, Lorde and her gals groove and vibe out by the beach — how good.
The release of ‘Solar Power’ comes shortly after she teased it on her website along with the single artwork, simply writing “ARRIVING IN 2021…PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE”.
Lorde’s return was also confirmed last month, when the singer was announced as a headliner for Barcelona’s mammoth Primavera Sound lineup for 2022.
